Where can I find Recommendations?
Recommendations can be found on a single dedicated page for fast, easy access and can be accessed by tapping this icon .
The new Recommendations page (released in June 2023) replaces Scouting which has since been retired.
Recommendations will only display for those customers who have this function set up for their selected sites. Customers without Recommendations set will see the below screens.
What are "rules" in the Yamaha Agriculture app?
Rules are best practice guidelines. A set of rules helps to create a recommendation.
What are recommendations?
What are the recommendations used to determine the number of available spray hours?
In the mobile app, you can click on the information icon at the top of the Recommendations screen to see the detail behind each of the recommendations.
How are the recommendations determined?
The recommendations were developed and agreed with your company's technical team.
What is shown on the first day of the Recommendations screen?
The first day shows the total number of available hours remaining on the current day.
How do I see which hours are available on a specific day?
In the mobile app, tap on the day you wish to view. For example: Tap “Tuesday” at the top of the Recommendations screen, or tap the cell for “Tuesday” on the “Number of Available Hours” to see the full 24 hours for that day. You can then tap on the left and right arrows to see the detail of the previous day or next day.
What do the colours green, red and grey mean?
Green - means that a particular hour meets the set conditions for spraying.
Red - means that a particular hour does NOT meet the set conditions for spraying.
Grey - means that a particular hour or day is not relevant for your spray window. For example, if you don’t spray your crops before sunrise, then pre-dawn hours will show as grey.
What does the warning sign (!) mean?
Warning signs (!) mean that no data could be retrieved for that hour so it could not be determined whether the hour is available for spraying or not.
My spray recommendations are only relevant for certain months of the year, what will I see outside of these times?
Recommendations will not be shown when they are no longer relevant. Click on the information icon to determine when your recommendations are set to be shown.
Can I change the recommendations at all?
Please speak to your technical team or contact Yamaha Agriculture support to provide feedback or to request changes.

Please talk to your technical team or contact Yamaha Agriculture support if you have other recommendations that you would like to see in this format.
Can I get alerts on these recommendations?
We hope to offer alerts on these recommendations in a future iteration of the app.
How do I view the latest data?
Pull down to refresh the data on the Recommendations screen.
How often is the recommendation calculation updated?
The recommendation updates every 15 minutes.
Why are spray recommendations missing from some of my weather locations?
Spray recommendations may not be active on all weather locations either because a specific weather location doesn’t measure all of the required weather conditions, or because in consultation with your technical team, only specific locations were requested.
Update on Recommendations Information Page*
We’ve made some updates to the Recommendations Information page - a new settings page - to improve usability and overall functionality.
One of the new design features is the updated tile layout. While the tiles currently do not automatically resize based on their content, this change allows for clearer visual separation between each recommendation with the new borders. This makes it easier for you to distinguish between different recommendations at a glance.
For recommendations with multiple conditions (like Codling Moth), you may find that scrolling within the tile is necessary. This design ensures that all relevant information is accessible without cluttering the display.
